Today I have read some of the project retrospectives papers that Debra sent it to me this week. The papers were:

1. "After the fact: How to find out if your IT project made the grade", ComputerWorld Thomas Hoffman.
2. "The Power of Retrospectives", PNSQC 2003, Esther Derby.
3. "Singing the Songs of Project Experience, Patterns and Retrospectives", Linda Rising and Esther Derby, Cutter IT Journal.

Reading Juan Guzmán Tapia's book

Yesterday, I have read Juan Guzmán Tapia's book. The name of the book is "Juan Guzmán Tapia, En el Borde del Mundo, Memorias del juez que procesó a Pinochet".

Project Retrospective Papers

I have been reading today two papers about "Post Mortems Reviews" from Torgeir Dingsøyr.

1. "Experiences with Conducting Project Postmortems: Reports vs. Stories and Practitioner Perspective". This article talks mainly about lessons learned while facilitating PostMortems. They talk about the patterns that can be found on them.

2. "Postmortem reviews: purpose and approaches in software engineering". This article as the name says talks about why they are necessary in software engineering and the differents approaches that can be finded in the literature.

Reading Iniciativa emprendedora

I'm reading the book "Iniciativa Emprendedora", I hope I can finish it tomorrow.

Cluster definition in Spanish

I found a good cluster definition in Spanish in "El Mercurio, Economía y Negocios " Sunday 10/07/2005. The article is called "El peor de los pecados".
Cluster is "una agrupación de empresas e instituciones en una zona geográfica en torno a un sector productivo, por ejemplo, el vino." One more thing in Spanish: "Lo malo es que no tenemos muchos incentivos al desarrollo de la tecnología propia. Estamos muy lejos de otros países, que tienen incentivos tributarios y regulaciones pro investigación y desarrollo, además de una conexión estrecha entre universidad y empresa" Tomás Flores, economista Instituto Libertad y Desarrollo.
